Crucial weekend for Armaan

Armaan Ebrahim has a chance to make a race out of final round in China after a well timed win in Race 2 in the Formula Renault V6 Series.
Crucial weekend for Armaan
MUMBAI, November 1: At 16, Armaan Ebrahim was already driving. At 18, Armaan is saying with conviction: ‘‘I've arrived.'' A racing career which started in 2003 with Karting, the Chennai lad, son of former Indian Formula 3 champion Akbar Ebrahim, is taking small, measured but concrete steps to get where every racer dreams to get at - Formula One.
Currently parading his wares in the Formula Renault V6 Series, Armaan has a chance of winning it despite a topsy-turvy season.

‘‘Going into Japan, I was two points behind James Windslow. I led in Race 1 but with two laps to go, my wheel nut came off. I pushed on with three wheels to somehow finish sixth,'' Armaan told TOI.
A sixth place finish carries five points and with a well timed win in Race 2, Armaan still has a chance to make a race of it. The final round is in China at the famous Zhuhai Circuit this weekend.
The Team TaraDTM driver is 10 points adrift of championship leader Briton James of Team Meritus. A tough task but not an impossible one. ‘‘I'm confident going into the final round. I've had a bit of bad luck too. If it goes my way, its fine, if it doesn't, that's the way it is,'' Armaan said.
